Restaurant, Retailing & Business Seminars Offered by Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce

In light of pending demolition of several blocks in the heart of Broadways Business District to make way for Sound Transit light rail station construction, Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce and Sound Transit have teamed up to offer a rare opportunity to address the needs of retail businesses and restaurants. A series of free retailing, restaurant and human resource seminars have been scheduled for the Capitol Hill business community.

In light of pending demolition of several blocks in the heart of Broadway's Business District to make way for Sound Transit light rail station construction, Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce and Sound Transit have teamed up to offer a rare opportunity to address the needs of retail businesses and restaurants. A series of free retailing, restaurant and human resource seminars have been scheduled for the Capitol Hill business community.

Four local and seasoned professionals in food service, retailing and human resources
will share their proven techniques for increasing sales and profits in a series of exciting and energetic seminars.

They are:

  • Dorothy Frisch - Co- owner for 17 years of the award winning Saleh al Lago restaurant at
    Green Lake and a member of the Food Service Consultants Society International.
  • Karen Malody - International award-wining restaurant consultant named Consultant of the Year by Food Service Consultants International in 2008.
  • Lisa Hudson - gained retail expertise at Ralph Lauren, Barneys New York and
    Esprit and executive positions with the NBBJ Retail Concepts Group
  • Marty Fisher - former Starbucks and Abercrombie & Fitch human resources executive

The spring seminars will be held at Seattle Central Community College.  Specific classrooms are yet to be determined but will be announced in coming days. Below are brief overviews of the seminars with dates and times of each offering.
