Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce Announces Winners of Arts Funding Grants

The recipients include: Annex Theatre, Cal Anderson Park Alliance, Hugo House, Three Dollar Bill Cinema, and Velocity Dance Center.

Each recipient will be awarded up to $1000 for their efforts in keeping Capitol Hill in the spotlight as a premiere neighborhood arts destination. “The link between a dynamic arts environment and a strong business climate is inextricable,” remarked CHCC Executive Director Jack Hilovsky upon announcing the winners.

The one time grants were awarded to arts institutions and groups based on Capitol Hill for the purpose of promoting special events and performances ranging from Three Dollar Bill Cinema's Outdoor Summer Movies Series to Annex Theatre's Season Brochure.

The Chamber has an active arts and entertainment committee focused on ensuring Capitol Hill solidifies its commitment to arts and culture through property development and partnering with the city and other interested groups.
