Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce History
In 2006, a broadly representative group of neighborhood stakeholders joined hands with the city of Seattle to create a framework for public and private investments to revitalize Broadway and all Capitol Hill. The result is the Broadway Action Agenda (BAA), an action-oriented plan with tangible outcomes and specific roles involving businesses, property owners, the community and the City.

Early the following year these stakeholders incorporated the new Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce (CHCC) to spearhead economic development
and increase vitality on Capitol Hill. They elected a strong Board of Directors to guide the Chamber, and in June 2007 the Board hired Executive Director, Jack Hilovsky. A halftime Program Manager, Jessica Norouzi, joined the staff later that year. The Chamber currently resides in a small house on 925 E. Thomas St. at 10th Avenue.
